Cookie Policy

This page explains what cookies are, how Vedion uses them on this site, and the choices available to you.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make sites work, or work more efficiently, and to provide reporting information to the site operator. “Similar technologies” — local storage, pixels, web beacons — perform similar functions and are covered by this policy as well.

2. How we use cookies

This site uses cookies in three categories:

  • Strictly necessary. Required for the site to function — for example, remembering whether you have dismissed a banner. These cookies cannot be disabled.
  • Performance / analytics. Help us understand how visitors interact with the site, which pages are viewed, and how long visits last. The data is aggregated and used to improve the site.
  • Functional. Remember preferences you set, such as whether you have opened the Leakage Calculator before.

We do not use advertising cookies or third-party advertising trackers on this site.

3. First-party and third-party cookies

First-party cookies are set directly by vedion.co. Third-party cookies are set by domains other than vedion.co — typically by analytics or content delivery providers we use to operate the site.

If we add a third-party service that sets cookies, we will update this page and, where required, request your consent before those cookies are set.

4. Managing cookies

You can control cookies in several ways:

  • Browser settings. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies, or alert you when one is set. Consult your browser's help documentation for details.
  • Do-not-track signals. We honor “Do Not Track” and “Global Privacy Control” browser signals for analytics cookies.
  • Consent banner. Where required by law, a consent banner is shown on first visit, allowing you to accept or reject non-essential cookies.

Disabling strictly necessary cookies may cause parts of the site to stop working as intended.

5. Retention

Cookies set by this site expire after a defined period, ranging from the end of your browser session to up to thirteen months for analytics cookies. You can clear cookies from your device at any time using your browser settings.

6. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent version.

7. Contact

Cookie questions can be sent to engage@vedion.co.
